Mailbox locks, and the usual reasons
Mailbox locks are small jobs with real consequences — you cannot just leave your post sitting in the box. Most are quick.

Lost mailbox key
We open it, then rekey or replace the cylinder so the old key no longer works.

Jammed locks
Rust, grit and bent keys. Opened, then cleaned, rekeyed or replaced as the lock needs.

Just moved in
Previous owner kept the key? A quick rekey settles that the same day.

USPS-style cylinders
Standard replacement cylinders fitted to most residential boxes.

Bank of boxes
Multi-box units at apartments and complexes — individual boxes opened or rekeyed.

Lock boxes & gates
Padlocks and small lock boxes on gates, fences and storage, opened or replaced.
What happens when you call
Say what type it is
Single box, bank of boxes, or a lock box — and whether the box is yours or belongs to USPS.
Price before we come
You hear the cost of the opening and any new cylinder before we set out.
Opened and secured
We open it, fit a new cylinder or rekey, and check the new key works with you.
Before you call
Have photo ID and something tying you to the address — a lease, a closing statement or a utility bill. If you rent, check whether your lease wants the landlord told. Note the nearest cross-streets for the technician, and tell us if anyone is inside who needs help.
While you wait
Do not force the door or attack the lock — that is how a quick opening becomes a replacement. If the property is standing open, or something is damaged, say so on the call and we will treat it as priority.
What affects the price
Single box or bank
One mailbox is a quick job. A bank of boxes takes longer, and we price it per box.
Open, rekey or replace
Opening is one price and a new cylinder another — we tell you both before we start.
Who owns the box
USPS-owned cluster boxes are handled by USPS for some problems. Tell us and we will say which you are.
What is fitted
Standard USPS-style cylinders against heavier cam locks on lock boxes and gates.
Mailboxes across the metro
We open and rekey mailboxes across Denver and the whole metro, homes and complexes alike:

Mailbox questions
Can you open a mailbox without the key?
Yes, and in most cases without damaging it. If the lock is corroded or already broken it may need replacing, which we tell you before we start.
Can you rekey a mailbox?
Yes. The old key stops working and you get a new one — usually less expensive than a full replacement.
Do you work on bank-of-boxes units?
Yes — individual boxes within the bank, and several in one visit. Tell us how many boxes.
My box belongs to USPS — can you still help?
Sometimes USPS handles it and sometimes the owner does. Tell us when you call and we will say which you are.
Can you match the mailbox to my house key?
Often yes. Have the house key with you and we will see what the cylinders allow.
How long does it take?
A single mailbox lock is quick. A bank of boxes takes longer and is usually still a single visit.
Mailbox lock giving you trouble?
One call and we will open, rekey or replace it properly.
